This is emotional.
It’s the true story of a girl trapped in an avalanche and the struggles of her father and friends to save her. It’s a lovely example of interactive storytelling and journalism. Personally I believe there is a lot we can learn; the interactive visual clues that are peppered throughout, the interactive nature so the audience is in control, the vivid perspectives of the characters, the race against time, the questions the characters pose in times of crisis and how we can relate to those same questions. Especially interesting is the length and how it holds the readers attention throughout. This story was the winner of the ‘Best Storytelling’ prize in Scandinavia’s Schibsted awards. It was immediately a viral hit in it’s original Norwegian. A beautiful example of how a thirty minute story can feel like five.
